Ingredients
- 1 cup (16 tbsp) unsalted butter, softened
- 681-908 g (3-4 cups) powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp heavy whipping cream
Directions
- Using a stand mixer, beat the butter with the paddle attachment on medium speed for about 5 minutes.
- Turn off the mixer, then add 3 cups of powdered sugar to the butter. Then turn the mixer on a low speed until minimally incorporated.
- Increase the speed to medium again, and add the salt, vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons of the heavy whipping cream. Beat for about 3 minutes until it is fluffy and incorporated.
- If needed, incorporate remaining heavy whipping cream to loosen up the frosting if it is too thick.
